Well, Robin is jumping off into the great unknown of web sites. Yep - She'll be takin' over the great and mighty admin tasks of Whereisrobin.com. So if it disappears off of the face of the web for a bit, don't be alarmed. It does not mean Robin is no longer with us, or has traveled to another dimension. Not that those possibilities aren't within the realm of reason.

However, it most likely means that she's screwed something up, and will be endeavoring to fix it. Or she's sitting, staring in mind-numbing terror at a stream of error messages.

Yes, after days of spinning yarns and knitting trolls with her mother and countless other women, Robin's left the lovely town of Park City, Utah, and flown back to the smog of L.A. We did get one day of fabulous snow, and she got oodles of silk and alpaca. What could be more fun?

yawn.... *blink, blink* Up before 8 AM? What am I thinking? Oh yes...

I'm thinking about the fact that I'm heading to Park City, Utah!! Sans Dancing...

Ahhh... all good things must come to an end, and this lovely trip is no exception. After one long plane ride, we're back in LaLa Land, as safe and sound as one can get in L.A. It was a lovely trip - and I hope you enjoyed the pictures!
So now me and my new little friend, Chert, say goodbye to Prague...

Let's hear it for open-topped, double-decker busses!! Yeah!!!
We did manage to view quite a lot, including:
The Tower of London (This is inside the White Tower.)

And St. Paul's...

And even drove by Westminster Abbey!

But sadly, it's too short a stay...

New stop - London!! Yes, just zipped up the Continent for a little dinner with Ray. Again, I must say Wow...
Oh, and I found a comedy that I simply MUST see. I feel drawn to it somehow, can't exactly put my finger on why...

Still in Prague - and never wanting to leave!
Toured the Castle, practically a village unto itself. Okay, so when I say Castle, I actually mean, its Cathedral, whose foundations stem from the 10th century. Okay, now THAT'S old.


All in all, a lovely little place...

Still toodling around Prague. Ah... Prague. A truly unique city, whose soul withstood her years of Communism with true Czech fashion. And a nice museum to boot.

But they do have their oddities, such as this sign above a door...

But then, towering above all, is the lovely Town Square...

And now - we've made it to Prague!! Wow... Just wow. And the number of puppet stores!! The castle...

PART I:
On the way to Prague - we stop at Kutna Hora - the home of a lovely little Ossuary. And proof that some people had WAY too much time on their hands way back when...

Now this lovely image is part of the shield of the family that ran everything back then. It's supposed to be a crow pecking out the eye of a severed Turk's head... Nice!


Now, onto Prague!!

Jihlava - A city which bears the marks of Communism. And the ensuing bland hotel rooms.
But they do have very strange ads for a sausage...

Cesky Krumlov is just so cool, we had to stay another day... So I wandered through cobblestone streets dating back hundreds of years...

What a great place... Toured the castle, which was lived in until the 1940's.

Found a rat's eye view from the Castle as well...


Then came to reaquaint myself with modern technology at an internet cafe a stone's throw from the castle. Crazy mix of worlds... Now I'm off to enjoy an evening on the town - hopefully including some warm Mead.

Start the day with a beer. What else would you do in Pilsen?? Then more driving through some lovely farming, mountainous country, heading to the midieval city of Cesky Krumlov.

Found an original Marshmallow Farm. A-mazing. Had the local eel for dinner. He wore a bow tie, and didn't mind too much when I bit him.

We're in Karlovy Vary, so the first thing we do is drink the water.

It's hot, and loaded with things that don't taste so good, and it looks like this. But it's supposed to be good for you, really! We shall see...

Then we drive through some lovely country, and end up in Pilsen. Yes, that's where they invented the beer. Yum....

And we arrive in Prague!!! Yippeee!!! Tired as we are, we rent a car and head out - not really sure where we're going. Not that we let THAT stop us. We make a short break in the town of Chumatov, which (and I quote) is listed thus in the guide books: "If by some set of unfortunate circumstances you end up in Chumatov..." Let's just say it's well described. So we sally forth and finally make it to the lovely town of Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad, for you Germans out there) and stay in a curiously named hotel.

That's it. I'm outta here. And off yet again into the wild, blue Yonder, but this time I'm takin' folks with me!!!

Yep - we're off to Prague AND London!! yeeeee-haaaaaa.....

Yes, it's sad but true!! I'm slowly but surely working my way OUT of New York City and more full time to LaLa Land.

Ahhhh.... Just rolled back into town from a lovely, and most productive, weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada! Not a single penny nor dollar did I donate to the great and mighty cause of Gambling. It was strictly work-related, and my nose was to the proverbial (as opposed to the amateur-verbial)grindstone the whole time. And met some wonderful people at the same time!

But the true spotlight of the weekend was stolen by Egg Zackly. That's Mr. Zackly to you.

Well... I turned down the job in New York - so it looks like this visit will be a long one!! But how long....?

Back in L.A. again!! Let the clock start ticking to see how long this visit lasts...

The dreaded north-bound traffic wasn't too horrible. We managed to plan wisely with the leaving... But we didn't leave San Diego without going by the wonderful Hotel Del Coronado!!

San Diego, California....

Reportedly over 110,000 people attended Comic-Con today. Wowza. So far - so fun!! Attended many panel discussions, mucho Sci-Fi geekdom from yours truly, and even a couple of useful writing oriented seminars!!

But to top it all off - had dinner at the famous Bali Hai!! Wow... Got the Mr. Bali Hai mug. Super cool...

It's late. It's dark. It's the perfect time for Robin to once again leave L.A. Is she headed to New York? Oh, no, that would be expected!

She's headed to San Diego for *dramatic Sting* COMIC-CON!!! Yes, it's true. She, Sea, Mark and Chris are going to Geekfest 2005 to network, schmooze and shop. Yeee-haaaa!!!

Okay, so this isn't about where I am, but what I'm doing. First, I'm enjoying the new, smaller "Ha Ha Quaker." Second - well, asking this question:

How many times in your life do you get the chance to make a window-sized Nighttime Sky "curtain" (complete with stars and exchangeable Moon/Earth) and then send it to Barrow, Alaska - above the Artic Circle - to deliver poor souls from Summer's Eternal Day??
Answer: If you're me - one! (Somehow, I just think that's ssssoooo cool....)

Okay... so now it's the 6th of July - and yes, I am back in LaLa Land once again. For how long? Only the Sloth knows....

And now Robin (and Seamus!) fly back to L.A. on what could essentially be called their host airline - Jet Blue. The plane is called 'Bippity, Boppity Blue.' How appropriate...

It's just after 9 pm - and we've managed to squeeze 9 full-sized adults (okay, 8 full-sized and me) through the window in the stairwell. And now it's fireworks, fireworks, fireworks!!!!

If you're in the vicinity of Smithtown or Lindenhurst out on Long Island - be aware of a Robin alert.

Robin arrives at the ungodly hour of 5 freakin' AM in New York City! The coolest thing about this trip - she flew out of Burbank on Jet Blue. No more driving all the way to Long Beach, oh no! Just a little jaunt, only a few minues away from the North Hollywood abode, and wha-laa! Ready to fly...

Sweet.

She's in New York to perform in the marionette cabaret show - Die Meisterklasse.

Now, I am happy ;P

Hey - guess what? I'm still in L.A.!!! Nope, haven't gone anywhere for a whole week!!

So, now I'm back in Los Angeles... *Yawn*
And there's a puppet that needs a'makin. I think I'll wait until morning...

Okay, right now I'm supposed to be on a plane headed back to L.A.

But no. I'm in Portland, Oregon. Watching the estimated delay of my plane go from 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours. Yippee...

And I was going to see the new Star Wars movie tonight. Not gonna happen...

Well, well, well... Aren't you amazed? I've actually been updating in a timely manner!! Don't get too used to it though. It's me. You never know when I might just up and run off again to some strange, far away place where the puppets roam.

Or in this case - to Boise, Idaho. Yep, that's right! I'm in the Land O' Taters. Now you might be asking yourself, not so much "where is Robin?" but "WHY is Robin - in Boise, Idaho?" A simple question, with a simple answer. I'm visiting my sister, Pepper (her full name is Pepper Rae Jennifer Howard Herrera, but that's another story for another update...).

Oh, and for those of you who know what this means - Another Swampmate is about to enter the world!!! Yeah!!!!

Whew... Back yet again in L.A.! For how long??

And then, under the cover of darkness - Robin steals out of L.A. - heading for the fabulous town of Las Vegas!!

Yes - it's true!! Robin is now back in New York City!!! She survived the Buoch-ian winter, and weeks of puppets. The show in Stuttgart went very well - and now she is busy preparing to do it all over again here in the Big City on the 21st of April.

Kind of like the saddle, but not quite... Actually - she's in a very teeny, weeny little town called Buoch -- trapped with 6 other puppet making fools. She'll be here for some time.

Ah yes.... It's 2:15 AM, and Robin is busy packing to fly to Stuttgart, Germany early in the morning!!!! She'll be there a couple of months, but will try her darndest to keep the site updated!!

And once again, Robin flies across the country to end up in L.A.

Way too early for any sane human to be alive, he flew back to L.A. But not until after a wild night of black-eyed peas, collard greens and cornbread!

And then they head back into the city of Manhattan! And it snowed - Yippee!!!

Robin and Sea head up on Metro North to lovely Katonah to visit the Linzs this Christmas Day.

Sea and Robin fly to JFK!!! Wheeeee..... They see a strange red glow flying through the air up to the North, accompanied by the jingling of bells. Then there was a loud thump. Hmmm.......

Sea and Robin (and Lydee and Dennis) fly on Southwest (thanks Erin!!!) to Sacramento!!

Now in Los Angeles, Robin performs her new piece, TUBTIME, at the L.A. Puppetslam at Zen Sushi!! Let's just say, she pulls it off without a hitch and throws in the towel...

Robin is back in North Hollywood!

Robin is on 60 Minutes!! She's hit the high life, and was reportedly spotted on a bit they did on, yes, you guessed it, TEAM AMERICA. Of course, she was busy being politically responsible and watched the Pres. debates while flying back to L.A. - so she missed it.

Well, Robin did it again...slipped out of North Hollywood in the dark of night.
She is back in NEW YORK CITY


Of course, she has to come back eventually, so....

HA HA!

Robin spends the day with Team America: World Police!!
Yes, that's right - less than three weeks before it opens in a theatre near you - we are still filming.

Then - she goes straight to the Long Beach Airport to fly to New York City!!!!!

Once in San Jose, they picked up her sister, Becky, on a vist from Alaska.
And then headed to see the fishes at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Swim fishy, swim!
And then back to North Hollywood, where there are not so many fish.

Sea and Robin head out to San Jose.
No, they don't know the way, but their car does.

Ahhhh..... Finally, I get to sleep in. TEAM AMERICA is finally finishing up...
